Anti-corruption training for the BRICS countries
On June 19-24, the UN Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC) hosted an anti-corruption training for anti-corruption specialists from the BRICS countries in Vienna (Austria). Each day of the training was devoted to one of five topics: corruption risk assessment, regulation of conflict of interest, asset disclosure, corruption in procurement, and whistleblower protection.
Each BRICS country was "responsible" for one topic and sent a trainer specializing in the relevant issues. The sessions were conducted jointly with UNODC experts. The trainees were employees of national anti-corruption agencies and departments.
Alexey Konov, Director of the Anti-Corruption Center of the National Research University Higher School of Economics, took part in the training as a Russian trainer and conducted a session on conflict of interests regulation.
