International Conference on Corruption Prevention in Kazakhstan

The Director of the Anti-Corruption Center participated in the conference "International Standards and Measures for Corruption Prevention" held in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event was organized by the Anti-Corruption Agency of Kazakhstan with the support of the UNODC. Representatives of anti-corruption agencies from Armenia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, Moldova, Romania as well as experts from Lithuania, South Korea, the Council of Europe, the Regional Anti-Corruption Initiative of Southeastern Europe (RAI), and the StAR Initiative spoke at the event. During three sessions the issues of conflict of interest regulation, whistleblower protection and anti-corruption legislation expertise were discussed. Alexey Konov made a presentation entitled "Certain Important Aspects of a Reporting Procedure", which dealt with the legislative requirements for information disclosed by whistleblowers.
